The Lamrock co-living is located just a stone’s throw from world famous Bondi Beach.
Consisting of 47 high quality self-contained studio apartments with extensive communal areas interspersed throughout, the application was approved by Waverley Council in near record time and despite vocal opposition, on the back of quality and skilful desig.
The design concept is centred around cranking the living spaces of the studio apartments, in order to provide privacy, shield from the harsh western sun, and take advantage of favourable views. The aluminium batten cladding dissolves into balcony privacy screens, creating a practical yet ethereal solution.
Generous internal breezeway corridors, with landscaped internal breakout spaces, allow for cross ventilation and generous communal amenity.
Interior finishes are robust yet reflect a high end and relaxed feel reflective of the coastal location.
The development is setting a new benchmark for communal living in the locale and shows the way forward for efficient and quality affordable living in highly sought-after locations.
